Description
We are looking for a lodger to rent a good size double room in a 3-bedroom split level flat.
The flat has 1 bedroom and the kitchen downstairs, and 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet upstairs.
The room available is upstairs, facing the street. It has a double bed, a big chest of drawers, double-door wardrobe with mirror, and a TV.
There is limited additional storage space, thus you cannot store a bike indoors.
The flat has a small sunny back garden as well as communal green area at the front.
The area is nice with wide, leafy streets and friendly neighbors.
The room is available from 12 January 2025 (possibly earlier if needed).
Rent: £685 + electricity and water (which works out to about £60-65).
About us:
We are friendly and social, both in our early fourties. Damion (live in landlord) works in social services and I (Dora) do hairdressing. We both work a lot, therefore like to relax and rest when we are at home, watch a movie, or go to the gym etc. We like to think that we are easy going and friendly, however due to the early hours/different shifts we work, we keep the noise to a minimum after 10pm (this would need to be respected!).
About you:
We are looking for a clean, non-smoker/waper (not indoors anyway!), who is likewise friendly, easy going and reliable with common sense. Ideally you should have similar routine/daytime job. It would be nice to live with someone who is looking for a home and treats the place like your own. You will be expected to keep the flat tidy and take out your share of cleaning.
About the area:
The flat is located on the top of Streatham Hill/ Brixton Hill. The area has excellent public transports (day or night). It is about 10 minutes' walk to the main road (in both directions, Streatham Hill and Tulse Hill) where you can get several buses going to Brixton (10mins ride) for Victoria line/ Clapham/Knightsbridge/Central London or South towards Morden/Croydon.
We are also about half way between Streatham Hill and Tulse Hill train stations (both about 10-15 mins walk) from where you can take trains to Victoria and London Bridge or to Beckenham Junction and Sutton. The area has a number of shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, pubs/bars, restaurants and cinemas; anything you may need is easily accessible. There are a few parks nearby and there is also free street parking outside.
Please get in touch if you are interested and send some information/introduction about yourself.
We look forward to hearing from you. Cheers
