Spacious Double Room in Streatham Hill

Hi there! A double room has become available in our lovely Streatham house from May 1st, but we can be flexible for the right person. We’re looking to arrange in-person viewings or video meets from now. Bills each month are £140 which includes everything (council tax, gas, electric, internet and all the usual TV options) as well as a cleaner every other week.

The double room is generously sized, with plenty of space for a desk. It gets loads of natural light throughout the day and comes with a large armoire/wardrobe for clothes and other storage. The double bed can also be left if needed.

The house is really spacious and is spread across 3 floors (4 if you include the basement). On the ground level there is a big kitchen with plenty of cupboard space, a dining room, and
a living room which has a separate loo and leads into the back garden. As you go up into the house there is the main bathroom on the first floor with a bath/shower with a brilliant rainforest showerhead.

This double room has become available as our housemate is moving in with her partner. You would be sharing with a girl and two guys, we’re all young professionals and the house by its nature is one that is friendly, sociable and LGBTQ+ friendly. We do all have our own lives, but when we find ourselves in together, we’re usually up for watching a movie, cooking dinner or going for a drink (when not in lockdown!). We're looking for someone who is kind, considerate and happy to help keep the house a clean and peaceful space, and who really sees the house as a home.

Transport-wise Streatham Hill is well connected with national rail, overground and bus services. Nearest tube stations are Balham, Tooting Bec and Brixton (short bus ride).

The house is on a quiet road off Streatham Highstreet. This means we have the option of an amazing bakery, a lovely yoga and fitness studio, local craft beer shops, supermarkets, shops and gyms at one end of our road, or the quieter option of Tooting Common at the other.

Tooting Common has an Olympic sized lido, a charming woodland and tons of paths for running and cycling. It spans all the way from Tooting to Balham and has been a lifesaver for us doing lockdown!
