Hi, I'm looking to rent out my lovely bright flat to a clean, tidy and considerate individual or couple. I will use the standard Spareroom lodger agreement. Note that the photo's were taken for marketing of the flat earlier this year, so the place looked extra clean and clutter free!
It's advertised as a flatshare since I will retain the second (smaller room) for storage and for me to stay (with notice) up to twice a month. I am currently based in Bristol but will spend the odd long weekend in London. During these times you will be sharing with an easy going, sociable and young at heart early 50s guy.
During spring 2025 I expect to relocate back to London, hence it is advertised as only 3 to 6 months.
It's a top (third) floor modern flat located just off Streatham High Road; note that there is no elevator. The bedroom contains a double bed, a large wardrobe and a drawer. The flat has an open plan kitchen/lounge with sofabed, and the bathroom. Off-street parking (unallocated space) is available to the rear of the building. The flat is fully furnished and therefore space for any personal furniture is very limited.
It's a 5 minute walk to Streatham Hill station (for Clapham Junction, Victoria and London Bridge) and a 10 minute walk to Streatham station (for Thameslink services to the City), both in Zone 3. Also there is a constant supply of buses to central London via Brixton (10-15 minutes) for the speedy Victoria line.
The local neighbourhood has a selection of supermarkets, fitness centres, Tooting Bec Lido, an indoor swimming pool, ice rink, cinema and a decent selection of cafes, bars and restaurants.
TV licence and WiFi are included. Your share (50%) of Council Tax (Band C) will be around £70/month. Electricity/gas combined and (metered) water bills during the past three months have been approximately £75/month and £20/month respectively. So bills will be around £150/month depending on your energy and water usage.
