I’m sadly moving out of this lovely 4-bed house and am looking for a female to take over my room (sorry boys, this is a Barbie house only) 💃
HOUSE:
The house has 3 floors with 2 bathrooms – one with a bath/shower, the other with a walk-in shower, along with a separate toilet downstairs (so no fighting for the bathroom in the morning). There's a modern kitchen/dining space with dining table and a spacious living room that opens up to a sunny patio garden – complete with garden furniture. Lots of natural light and plenty of storage space.
The room is somewhat cosy, but is super bright and can comfortably fit a desk - I've been WFH 2-3 days a week no problem. There is an inbuilt wardrobe, and is furnished with a bed (it's furnished with a small double but a double could be requested), mattress, bedside table, and chest of drawers. It's west facing and looks out onto a quiet residential road (with even a view of London in the distance!).
HOUSEMATES:
You'd be moving in with 3 professionals who work in marketing, PR and pharma and aged 27-29 - Tabby, Maisie, and Becki. Everyone is social, easy-going, and we like hanging out in the evening with a TV binge or heading out to the pub. We are looking for someone who wants a home not just a room. I'm gutted to be leaving!
LOCATION:
The house is 5 mins walk from Tooting Common, 20 minutes to Balham tube and 8 minutes to Streatham Hill station, as well as a 20 minute bus into Brixton (buses run every 1-5 mins) - well connected on rail (direct to Clapham Junction, Victoria and London Bridge) and Northern and Victoria tube lines.
BILLS AND DETAILS:
We deal directly with the landlord, who is great and very on the ball if anything needs fixing. Bills average around £110/20 each per month, and naturally this varies depending on the season. Council tax band E.
The room is for single occupancy, full-time working professional. Move in date is from 21 July 2024. The tenancy runs until January 2025, with option to extend; it's very unlikely the rent will increase at that point.
