Description
Hello Flat Hunters! I have recently bought a 2 bedroom flat in Streatham Hill and so am currently looking for a new flatmate.
About me:
Rob, 34, gay professional - originally from Kent but been in London for nearly 10 years. I’m an actor by trade but have found myself in HR (thank you Covid) and am currently juggling both those things, for the HR job I work hybrid between the office and home. I like to cook, go to the theatre, hang out with friends and go to a club or pub, The 2 Brewers is always a fan favourite.
About you:
Someone that’s clean and tidy and easy to get along with. A good social aspect would be key, I’m by no means looking to have a wild party flat, but if you like to shut yourself in your room all hours of the day then that wouldn’t quite work. Understandably we would have our own things going on but London can be a lonely place at the best of times, so why wouldn’t you want to feel comfortable where you live! Somewhere you can kick back, watch a good film and debrief on the days antics together…it’s like a free therapy session.
The Flat:
The flat is on the second floor (no lift I'm afraid), 2 bedroom/2 bathroom and large open plan kitchen come diner come lounge come…dancefloor?! It also has a balcony which adds a nice little outdoor space and I fully intend to grow my own tomatoes next year. I have all the amenities you would need (washing machine, dishwasher etc) and have only been here for 3 months - having essentially gutted the place, nearly everything in the flat is now brand new. The second bathroom is essentially all for you as my own bedroom is en-suite; it would also act as a guest bathroom if we have friends over. The room available has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers but I'm very easy if you have any other furniture to bring, like if you needed to put a desk in or something.
The building is in a gated complex and there is free street parking all hours of the day. There’s also a place to store a bike within the gate too.
The flat is in a great location, about 6 minutes walk from Streatham Hill station. From the end of my road you can get a bus that goes to Clapham or from Streatham there are numerous buses that go into Brixton (if you need to jump on the tube) or go all the way to Oxford Street or London Bridge.
Please see the desired housemate criteria as I’m looking for people who fit this description. If you like the sound of the place, please get in touch. Viewings to start shortly in a week or so.
Move in date I'm flexible but anytime towards the end of July onwards really.
Many thanks
Rob
