Spacious rooms in a beautiful house (women preferred)

Hi everyone,

We’re Olga and Marie, and we’re excited to find three more women to join us in a very spacious 5-bedroom house with a lovely garden and plenty of perks, starting November 1st.
Our aim is to create a warm and welcoming home together where everyone feels comfortable and safe. While we only have the house for six months (maybe a few months longer), we see this as a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded women and potentially explore longer-term housing together if there's interest.

Our Vision: We want this house to be a cozy haven where we can relax, cook together, and respect each other’s privacy but also enjoy each other's company. We’re happy to host friends and gatherings, but we’re not a party household.

Viewings will be on Sunday, the 20th of October with a quick Zoom call before then to answer any questions and see if we’re a good fit. We can also share a video we took of the property.

IMPORTANT - What We’re Looking For:
- Like-minded women who want to share a home
- 30+ years old
- Fine with an initial 6 months sublet contract but interested in potentially looking for another house longer term after if it works for all of us
- Enthusiastic about creating a communal living experience
- Respectful of each other’s space and privacy
- Comfortable with a meat-free cooking environment at home

The house:
We managed to secure this amazing massive house for a good price with 5 double bedrooms in Streatham Hill for 6 months, starting from the 1st of November. The landlord might extend it after the initial 6 months on a month to month basis, up to 12 months, but this isn’t sure yet. When our time in this house is coming to an end, we are eager to explore if we can find another large house that is available for the longer term.
This will be a sublet with a deposit. The deposit is five weeks of rent, but Spareroom doesn’t let us list the exact amount. Bills aren’t included and are estimated to be around 130 per month.

The property is massive. It’s been newly refurbished - all beds and carpets and walls (incl. the wallpapers…yes, they chose them recently) are new. Big rooms, high walls. There are 5 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms which have showers, one of them even has a jacuzzi but we’re not sure if that works, 2 toilets, a big conservatory, a big dining room, a living room, a reception room, a kitchen cupboard room, a walk-in closet, a small front and huge back garden, a garage.

Visitors Welcome: We’re open to partners, family, and friends visiting or staying over

Cleaning & Shared Responsibilities: We believe in maintaining a clean and tidy living space, so we’ll all contribute to cleaning and organising common areas. It’s important to us that everyone feels comfortable in our home!

Olga - I’m from Barcelona and I have been in the UK for 5+ years. I work for a feminist charity tackling domestic violence as a data analyst. I love being active and doing many activities - such as finding workshops, exhibitions, climbing, painting lessons… I cycle often and started running a bit. I love board games, and games in general, so you’ll always convince me for a gathering where there’s something to play. After a few active days, I love having some quiet time at home just chilling on the couch with comfort people.

Marie - I’m 35 years old, grew up in Germany but lived in multiple countries over the past 17 years, since 2019 in London and would like to stay here. I work in a Tech company in Aldgate East but had a lot of different jobs and ‘careers’ over the past few years. I like my friends, adventures, the theatre and museums (sometimes), endless walks through the parks by myself in the mornings, planless strolls through London, cycling and trips and connection and friendships, the occasional party night out and hang outs and chats on the sofa. Dinners, drinks and going to yoga and some gym classes too. My life is overall pretty active and routined…unless when it’s not :)
