We’re searching for a housemate to join our lovely 3 storey large social house from 1st Oct!
The room: A furnished double room set on the middle floor of a large 3 story house.
The room boasts ample space for working from home and comes complete with a double bed, wardrobe (with drawers) and bookcase. This room shares a bathroom with one other housemate. The room is priced very competitively at £800pm, with bills additional that are approximately £100-£150pm.
Our ideal move in date would be the 1st October, with viewings mainly being held during the w/c 22 September. The house: A large 4 bedroom terrace house split across three floors - located halfway up a residential road just off Streatham High Road, we’re set back from all of the traffic, but within a short walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and other local amenities (M&S & Gail’s are both a 2 minute walk!) There are 4 toilets, of which 2 are en-suites, the family bathroom which is used by the two middle floor residents and a toilet on the ground floor. Separate kitchen with a dishwasher and an amazing sociable garden with Astroturf, a BBQ and a shed handy for storage.
Unfortunately, our landlord does not allow pets. The housemates: 1. Female, 28, works in fashion merchandising and just moved to London from the US. Likes going to concerts and exploring the city. 2. Male 27, works in software engineering. Enjoys electronic music, record shops, and cooking. Works from home 1-2 days a week 3 & 4. Male 30 and female 27 (couple) work in construction and as an optician. They both like sport, socialising and travelling. Both work from the office most of the time. Working from home: Currently, 1 housemate works from home part time, but we have 1gb fibre internet - so it’s more than adequate for any WFH needs. There is space in the room itself for a desk, and you’re more than welcome to use the dining room space. Travel: Buses come every couple of minutes from the end of the road (60 second walk) straight in to Brixton where you can get on the Victoria Line of the tube. (14min bus ride) Streatham Hill Station, is a 5min walk which can get you directly to Clapham junction (10mins overground) Victoria Station (18mins overground) Crystal Palace (10min overground) Clapham South (15min Bus. Northern Line) Parking: Street parking is approximately £120 per year. Application Lambeth council parking permits. Pubs: Many pubs within 5 minute walking distance - including the newly opened Stanley’s of Streatham! Parks: The house is located near Tooting Common, Brockwell Park and Streatham Common, and walking distance to Clapham Common.
