A lovely furnished double room is available in a spacious 4-bedroom Victorian house in Streatham Hill, right next to Tooting Common.

The room comes furnished with a bed, chest of drawers, bedside table and wardrobe. The house itself is large, bright and spacious, with a kitchen, dining room, separate living room and a lovely garden/patio area. There are two bathrooms in the house, shared between two housemates each.

The property was refurbished before we moved in in March 2025, including new carpets, new mattresses and a refurbished kitchen, so it feels fresh and well looked after.

You would be living with three friendly working professionals — two boys and one girl — who are all friends. It is a sociable house, so we are looking for someone who would enjoy being part of that environment. The housemates often cook together, have dinners, go to the pub, play cards or board games, and occasionally host BBQs or have friends over. It would suit someone who is tidy, friendly, sociable and happy to get involved. Ideally, we would love another girl to keep the house balanced, but we are open to anyone who feels like the right fit.

The house is also quite active, so someone who enjoys things like running, cycling, gym or getting outdoors would fit in really well.

The location is ideal. The house is right by Tooting Common, including the lido, and there is a PureGym at the top of the road. Streatham Hill and Streatham stations provide links to Victoria, London Bridge and Blackfriars. There is also a bus stop at the top of the street with multiple buses towards Brixton tube station, and Balham tube is around a 20-minute walk away.

There are plenty of lovely coffee shops, supermarkets and amenities within walking distance, including M&S and a large Tesco.

Rent is £950 per month, bills not included. The room is available as soon as referencing checks have been completed, ideally for someone looking to move in by the beginning of September.
