Description
Hey. I'm looking for a new housemate mid- end of November (date flexible).
*Please note I've had a new kitchen and double glazed windows put in since the video :-)
Here is a summary of the room on offer.
Room:
Large double and garden facing
Furnished with king size bed, huge wardrobe and set of 5 draws.
Transport:
10min bus ride from Brixton tube
6min walk from Streatham Hill station
15min walk from Tulse Hill station
Free parking
Flat:
£950 a month plus bills (around £200ish and split evenly between us each month)
Quiet with no street/traffic noise
Fully furnished and a ready made home
The flat is my home so no estate agent fees, no charges, just a deposit required.
Your rent feeds into my parent’s half of the mortgage on the flat so your hard earned cash is not anyone’s greed or profit!
Location:
The place is set within a quiet conservation area down a tree lined road of beautiful red brick houses and near lots of transport options.
The garden is a great sun trap and great for BBQs. There is somewhere to keep your bike if you have one!
Streatham Hill high street is at the end of the road with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and a jazz club.
If you like the outdoors, Brockwell park is a 20min walk away. Clapham Common’s a 10min bus ride away.
There's also a small park and tennis courts at the end of the road.
A bit about me:
I work in Partnerships for a large live music promoter and also as a singer. I like to go backpacking somewhere new in the world each year.
I also like surfing, yoga, gigs, festivals, long walks at weekends and generally catching up with friends.
So I’m often out and about but when I'm home it usually involves relaxing, cooking, watching a movie and catching up with my current house mate.
Friends are over occasionally for dinner. I love having a few summer BBQ's and a mate over for wine here and there. But doesn't happen often now that many friends have kids.
It would be good to find someone who loves being out socialising too and up for being social when at home.
It's hard to specify who your looking to live with but a nice person is a good place to start. Someone equally active, warm, considerate and invested in making it a sanctuary, keeping it clean, tidy and lovely home to live in.
It's not a landlady / lodger dynamic. We are housemates so it’s as much your home as it is mine. Of course you're welcome to use everything I already have here but would love someone to equally contribute and make their own stamp as well.
Thanks
Gerri
