Description
A cozy double room is available in our houseshare: A little bit about the house- a charming Victorian conversion, spread over 3 floors. You enter the house on the ground floor, with a homely living room facing the front garden and road - and a dining area and large bright kitchen with french doors that open onto the back garden which is south facing and gets sun most of the day. Perfect for summer bbq’s or chilling on the lush lawn. On the first floor are 2 bedrooms (one will be yours) and a bathroom (shared with one other only) and a third bedroom with its own bathroom in the loft. The house has original timber floorboards throughout with high ceilings. It’s tastefully decorated and furnished with little design elements here and there - most importantly - as soon as you step in through the front door you will at at home.
A little bit about the room: A bright and cozy comfortable room with a double bed. The room faces the back garden, is quiet and gets the morning sun. The room has a wardrobe and built in shelving. And there is space for a small desk or chest of drawers.
About our neighbourhood: A short walk takes you to Stroud Green Road, with its bustling array of restaurants and coffee shops, supermarkets and local fruit and veg. Charming Crouch End is only a short bus ride away. Finsbury park is a short 3 minute walk from the house, and you will reach Finsbury park station in about 13 minutes. The area has really good transport links for reaching central London and beyond.
About the housemates: You will be sharing with 2 professionals who enjoys the outdoors and keeping active. We both have demanding careers and when we do spend some time at home we like it to be a peaceful place.
The ideal housemate would be a mature individual in full-time employment working regular office hours. And would be of a similar age group (mid thirties to mid forties) We try and keep the house clean and tidy at all times and this is shared amongst the housemates. We are also responsible for keeping the garden intact - which is great if you enjoy a bit of gardening from time to time. We tend to enjoy the house being quiet from around 10pm and would like our next housemate to be of a similar mindset. One housemate is an early riser.
This is not a party house - though in summer we do like to have the odd bbq with friends and housemates and old housemates are often invited as well. In normal circumstances friends are invited for dinner from time to time.
The landlord would require a deposit of one month's rent and references.
The monthly rent is £515 plus bills on top (council tax, energy, water, fibre optic broadband) coming to £142 a month. This also includes a little extra put towards the household goods.
If this sounds like the kind of home you would like to share, please get in touch and tell us a little bit about yourself as we’d love to hear from you and invite you round for a viewing real soon.
