Hi I am a live in landlord who comes and goes quite a lot so looking for self sufficient tenants who can look after themselves and share our lovely Victorian house. Two rooms have been let to young adult relatives and friends who are now moving on post COVID. My son also stays over in uni vacation time. We're friendly and easy going but I'd regard the house as a quiet retreat rather than party city.
The loft room is a spacious 17 square metres plus recently converted with French windows and a balcony looking out the back. There is an adjoining bathroom with shower at the top of a private staircase for your sole use. It is currently furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and large chest of drawers. There is additional storage under the eaves and on the stairs for your use. I'm happy to provide a desk or sitting out chairs depending on your intended use of the room.
The double room on the first floor is separately let and shares its own bathroom with the landlord. There is a separate toilet for visitors.
You have shared use of a large lounge and well appointed kitchen with plenty of storage space. Also a rear garden with a small lawn and established plants. The street outside is in a CPZ attracting a modest annual fee but with loads of spaces. It's a large house so there are always corners being worked on so you'll have to tolerate a reasonable amount of DIY at times.
The house is in a quiet pocket near to Finsbury Park, Green Lanes and Crouch End as well as being minutes from the Overground with a direct line to the City of London and links to the Piccadilly and Victoria lines. It's an easy cycle down to the City or West End although a bit tougher on the way back! Highgate and Queens Wood and even Hampstead Heath can be accessed on foot via the Parkland Walk or by bus.
The rent includes council tax, fibre broadband and all utilities except electricity and gas.
