Description
The flat
It’s a ground floor 2 bed ex-council flat that we’ve put a fair effort into making a cosy space. I work from home two days a week and go in three days and currently have the smaller room with a little office space in the living room which I use for these two days. If you’re a fellow work-from-home-er I’m absolutely happy to co-work (with music on 🎶) if that’s your vibe but equally respect if you would prefer to work in your room (you would be taking the bigger room to accommodate the fact it may need to be an office as well). There’s also a cute little outside patio space that I would be happy to make into a backyard plant haven with outside seating – nice in summertime for your morning coffee in the sunshine ☀️. The room comes furnished with a double bed, a large wardrobe and chest of drawers. Sadly the room isn’t wheelchair accessible and is Council Tax band A.
The locale
The flat is super close to the water so stunning walks/runs/cycles are on the cards (I’ve recently taken to skating around the area and it’s honestly so relaxing). The area is also really quiet with nearly no traffic noise– something I feel is a rarity in London. There’s a small Tesco dead close which is handy, but there’s also the big one in Surrey Quays shopping centre and a Lidl about 10 mins away so there’s no shortage of convenient shopping options. There’s also a really cute Italian deli around the corner that does amazing home made treats and whatnot which is a delicious little bonus ☕️🥐
A bit about me
I’m a 37 yo graphic designer by day, my pronouns are he/him and I’m a lover of all things creative. It would be great to find someone with common interests who wants to connect as well as share a space. I’m clean, tidy and respectful of other peoples’ space. I like the flat to be a calm environment so no mad parties unfortunately, but obviously happy for friends/partners to be round and low-key social events are always nice (I used to be a cocktail barman which is handy for such events 😋). Also I’m LGBT, so fellow community members and allies only please 🏳️🌈
Interests include:
🍜 I love to cook though I’m by no means a pro. Currently trying to perfect a vegan ramen broth
🛼 Recently taken up skating so I can glide round the docklands and get better at moving my body
🤿 Love the ocean and am planning my next scuba trip soon
🎸 Singer/songwriter looking to get back into performing
🎮 Casual gaymer
