Bright double room in spacious Surrey Quays flat

Hello!

My lovely flatmate is sadly moving out of London so her room is becoming available to rent in a lovely, bright riverside apartment in Surrey Quays.

We have river views on both sides of the apartment. The living room faces south and is sun-drenched in the mornings, while the bedrooms get stunning views of sunsets over central London.

There's a nice sized living room and kitchen on the first floor, a shared bathroom, and two equally-sized double bedrooms on the second floor. For cyclists, the building has a secure bike storage, and we also get a little storage space outside our apartment where you can store luggage etc.

It's about 6 mins bus/15 mins walk to Surrey Quays station, and 10 mins bus/25 mins walk to Canada Water station, so most of London is quickly accessible on public transport. The immediate surrounding area is fairly quiet and residential. We have a big Tesco fairly close by and a small Tesco 5 mins away, as well as lots of other shops, cafes and pubs, so it's a pretty convenient place to live. When you step outside of the building you are right on the riverside so can enjoy walks and runs in either direction.

Rent is £1700 split between two (£850 each), and the bills come to approximately £160 per person (council tax band C). The room came unfinished, but the current flatmate is willing to sell her bedroom furniture (see photos) in case you are interested.

You'll live with me, Stacey, a university lecturer, and Phoebe, my cute and super friendly tabby cat (we can't accommodate any other pets unfortunately). I mainly work from the office and occasionally from home. In my free time I like playing video games, going to gigs, and hanging out with friends. Partying days are mostly behind me so home life tends to be quite quiet and relaxed. I love the flat and care about making sure that it is kept clean, tidy and beautiful. Ideally looking for someone friendly, communicative, respectful and clean, who is up for a chat but also has their own life!
