Double bedroom available on a houseboat.

A lovely double room with your own ensuite bathroom is available on board a motor cruiser houseboat in Surrey Quays. You will be living with just myself, a professional male working in central London although most of the time you will have the whole houseboat to yourself as I regularly live in another property.

The boat is moored in a secure & gated marina and is a real haven of peace with a very friendly community always willing to help.

The room is available for 1 person only at £890 per month including bills. The only fee you have to pay is for the marina staff to pump out for the onboard toilets should you choose to use them (around £25 each time).

A £600 security deposit is payable before moving in which you will get back on completion of your tenancy.

Off the bedroom you have access to your own bathroom with a sink and toilet. There is large wardrobe space and plenty of storage under the bed. There is also a second bathroom with a shower too which you more than welcome to use. The marina also has shower and toilet facilities too which you are free to use and there is also an inexpensive launderette to wash and dry clothes.

You have access to all the facilities on the boat including the lounge with a smart TV and all cooking facilities and utensils including an oven/grill/microwave combo, kettle and toaster. The whole boat has fibre optic WiFi throughout.

There is also a bright sunny deck with chairs and a table in which you can use at any time to dine al fresco or to sit and have a quiet drink looking over to the Thames skyline.

In the winter months the boat is nicely warmed up via the use of portable oil radiators and a convector heater so you'll never feel cold.

The boat is in a central location in zone 2 where both Surrey Quays and Canada Water stations are only a 10 - 15 minute walk away or a 5 minute bus ride. There is also the Uber river boat service which is just in front of the Marina with regular trips in to central London, Canary Wharf and beyond.

The area is surrounded by many supermarkets, some great pubs and restaurants including an Italian deli opposite the marina, Asian restaurants close by (Korean/Vietnamese/Indian/Chinese/Japanese) , and a great Turkish/Greek restaurant. There all the usual fast food chains too.

There is also the big Surrey Quays shopping centre and Canada Water’s brand new leisure and event space with plenty of bars and restaurants.
