Hello! I'm looking for someone to take over my room and share in the lease for a 3-bed flat near Surrey Quays Overground station in November.
THE ROOM:
The room is a fully furnished double bedroom with bed and mattress, desk and chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe and bookshelf. The room has lovely full-length east-facing windows that get plenty of sun in the morning and are a great mood-lift during those short winter days! You will be sharing a pretty large bathroom with one girl (the third bedroom is ensuite).
THE FLAT:
It's a modern three-bed flat with a shared kitchen and living area. The kitchen comes fully equipped with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven, kettle, toaster and (to my great delight) an airfryer. The landlord is super nice and available to WhatsApp for any issues.
THE FLATMATES:
You will be sharing the flat with Melissa and Jenn, both professionals doing a mix of WFH and in-office days during the week. They're really friendly and chill, enjoy a good chat in the kitchen but also respectful of people needing their space.
LOCATION:
The flat is around a 10 min walk from Surrey Quays Overground station and a 15 min walk to Canada Water Underground station. It's also less than 5 mins away from a Lidl and 10 mins from the Canada Water shopping center, which has a big Tesco. Deptford High Street and Greenwich are both short bus rides away in the other direction. You'd be squarely in between Southwark Park and Deptford Park, so lots of green areas around.
RENT AND BILLS:
Rent is £778 per month, plus bills which come up to around £120 per month (including water, energy, WiFi and council tax).
Deposit is £903.67.
The room is available from 12 November (with the possibility of becoming available a week or so earlier, but not before 1 November). You'd be joining a 12 month contract until August 2026, and the landlord has previously been happy to renew.
