It’s a beautiful old mansion block and the flat itself is massive. My room is a really good size, great natural light, high ceilings, and on the quiet side of the building so there’s plenty of privacy when you need it.
I’m moving out because I’ve managed to get my own place, which I’m thrilled about, but I’m genuinely sad to leave and want to find somebody lovely to replace me and keep the dynamic good.
The flat is social without being full on. My flatmates Kat and Malone have been friends for years; Kat runs her own startup, Malone works in customer service, and we’re all friendly geeks who like to hang out and watch tv shows and play board games together. It’s been a really lovely home and we want to keep it that way.
On the bills: heating is free which helps a lot, though council tax is on the higher side because it’s a fancy old building. All in you’re looking at around £150 a month on top of rent.
The room is unfurnished but I have furniture that suits it really well , so if you need any of it I’m open to selling bits before I go.
