Bright Double Room in Mid-Century Flat with Garden

Our flat mate is moving out and so we are looking for someone to take her room. It is a decent size double with a large window overlooking the garden. The room comes furnished with a double bed, bookshelves, and a desk/table and chair (though some could be removed if you don't need them).

The flat was built in the 1950s and feels bright, fresh and particularly spacious for a two bedroom. It is one of six in a three-storey block. There is a living room/ dining room that opens onto the balcony, kitchen (all the usual things), bathroom with over-bath electric shower, and there are storage cupboards in the hall. Out back is a large communal garden. As well as a lawn and laundry drying area, each flat has its own good-sized patch of land and shed. This had been cultivated as a vegetable patch and there is a good stock of tools in the shed. So if you are up for pottering around in the ground, all the better!

The flat is just minutes from Telegraph Hill Park, on the lower side of the hill. We are on a wide, leafy street with parking available should you need it. Queens Road Peckham and New Cross Gate stations are equal distance. These are served by the Clapham Junction – Highbury and Islington Overground, trains to London Bridge, and out to the South. We are also close to Nunhead station which has quick trains to Victoria, Blackfriars, Farringdon, City Thameslink, St Pancras and beyond. Also trains out to Kent which are handy for weekend days out!

Danielle and James currently live in the flat and have been here for 1 year. Danielle works in architectural education and public programming and James is a bookseller. We are peaceful and homely and sociable without being real party people. The flat would most suit someone who is positive, responsible, neat and clean, and who will take pride in the flat and help make it a home.
