Description
Hello!
I'm renting out a large en-suite bedroom on the top floor of my house which is available for a 3 month let with the potential to extend.
The house is split over 3 levels with the downstairs all open plan living room, kitchen and dining room which opens up through double patio doors to a paved garden with a little section in the back for plants.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a built in oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. I have a fancy coffee machine also so flat whites on a Sunday morning without leaving the house is always a bonus.
3 seater sofa, oversized armchair in the living room and a large tv for those evenings in watching a movie.
The middle level is where we have the main bathroom (which is what I use and available to guests who come over), my bedroom and a small room I use as my office.
The top level would be your bedroom which spans the entire length and width of the house and has an ensuite (shower/toilet/sink) which is all yours. The room has a single bed and a small sofa, but I can add in a chest of drawers and a desk if required.
The house has excellent transport links with both Tooting Broadway (northern line) and Tooting overground stations, both a little over 5mins walking distance away. Roughly about 30mins to London Bridge/Charing Cross.
Lots of parks within walking distance including Tooting Common which is the closest. Shops galore in the area including a big Sainsburys, a Tesco express, TK Maxx, Primark. Fairly easy to get to IKEA from here too. You can walk another 25-30mins towards Balham to get to Waitrose. There are plenty of pubs, great restaurants (you must try Daddy Bao!), Tooting Market which has an eclectic mix of cuisines and has a great atmosphere. The area is well known Indian food but plenty of options to suit most palates!
A little about me.
I'm a 39yo male, born in London but I spent a few years living in Edinburgh and abroad. I'm a very relaxed and social person. Love a good chat over wine, dinner or Jenga (or all of the above). My rave days are over, but I do enjoy nights out to comedy clubs, dinner with friends, music gigs. I love a good weekend hike and enjoy exploring different trails close to London but always open to going out a bit further. Also love a movie/board games night in.
I work for an independant wine importer/merchant in Central London. The benefits are that I tend to have more wine than I can drink on my own so some help will be very welcome! I usually work from home 3 days a week, but that can change depending on work needs.
I don't really have many asks aside from the usual like keeping the shared areas clean and tidy, respectful of noise levels in the evening, a heads up if you invite anyone round etc.
You must be a dog lover though as I have a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel who is a social butterfly and has lots of energy. He's the best host and will be your best friend, as long as the treats keep coming.
Now the boring bits!
Room is available from now, but can be flexible on move in date. I'd ask for a deposit of £1150 (one months rent). Rent is £1150 a month which includes all bills.
Looking forward to meeting you!
