Spacious double in Tooting Bec - 6 month sublet

Hello! I'm sub-letting my lovely room for 6 months while I go travelling November-May. Please see details below (Rachel). ☺️

My room is bright and spacious with a double bed, comfy memory foam mattress, large desk, chest of drawers and wardrobe. There is also storage space under the bed. The room is on the 2nd floor and looks out into the back garden :)

You’ll be sharing a bathroom with Harriet and Abi. The bathroom has a huge bath and hot & powerful shower. There is also an extra toilet downstairs.

There is a large open-plan kitchen and living room, and a separate front room. We have a big dining table and a large back garden and patio which is great for BBQs.

The room is in a gorgeous four-bedroom (3 floor) house right next to Tooting common and a 15 min walk from Tooting Bec tube station - great access to bars, pubs, cafes and Tooting markets. Well connected to bus routes and a 20 min walk from Streatham or Tooting overground. Free street parking outside if you have a car. You can also easily walk across the common to Balham. 😁

In terms of the housemates:

Angie (35) is a Neuroscientist working in medical advertising. Originally from Manchester so really northern (friendly, great sense of humour). Loves reformer Pilates, Barre and getting into padel. Love being outdoors, doing wholesome stuff and loves going on a night out. Always trying to figure out what to add to the list of things to do!

Harriet (32) is from Sheffield and works in marketing. Very easygoing, friendly, active and outdoorsy, enjoys badminton, crossfit, tennis, hiking and travelling. Very social, often going out with mates or to live music, trying new things and exploring London.

Abi (34) - IT project manager, originally from Cornwall but has been living in London for over 6 years. Super friendly, chatty and sociable, loves a night out / wine in the pub but also sporty and active in the gym or going on weekend hikes or wholesome outdoorsy plans. Go to person for anything fantasy / romantasy and a fun sense of humour.

This house has become a mini home away from home. Everyone is a professional and works similar hours Monday to Friday. Weekdays we like to keep a fairly chilled atmosphere in the house and weekends everyone is often out and about but we also like to go for a few drinks or hang out as a house every now and then. We all get on as friends but also have our friends too!

Even though this is a short term let we are looking for someone respectful and friendly and who would be a good fit for the home. Everyone is tidy and does their bit, we all rotate cleaning the communal areas and mowing the lawn in the summer.

Room is £885 per month with bills included. This covers gas, electric, water, council tax, TV and broadband, and communal shared bits for the house. :)

I am planning to leave for traveling the end of October or early November, and will be back in London early May - but happy to discuss dates/ flexibility with this as I can leave earlier in October and come back later in May if needed.
