Tooting Double Bedroom - £899 inc. some bills

Hiya 😊 We are looking for a new housemate (24+) to fill a gorgeous double bedroom in our friendly house in Tooting Bec. The room is furnished with a bed, bedside table, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and desk chair and (non functional) fireplace. It’s also super spacious with loads of natural light, room for storage, good insulation in winter and shutters to keep it cool in summer ☀️

The house itself is laid out over 3 floors, with 2 bathrooms and a patio garden at the back (with a BBQ!).
The location is right beside Tooting Common and a 10min walk (8 mins at pace) to Tooting Bec tube station. We’re also very close to lots of restaurants, pubs, shops and supermarkets. Our local pub is 5 mins away and is fab!

You’d be living with:
Georgia (24, moved in earlier this year and works for a charity). Georgia likes books, writing, yoga, swimming, art, queer things, running and occasional partyer.
Alexis (26, moved in this summer and works in the mental health sector). Loves swimming, tennis, bouldering, festivals, a cheeky night out, charity shopping and good coffee.
Joy (31, moved into the house earlier this year and works as an interior designer). Likes travel, gigs, pubs, fitness, painting and roadtrips (via motorbike).
Ciara (27, has been in the house 3 years and works in Apprenticeships), likes comedy.

Our departing housemate Ellie has lived with us for nearly 2 years and is moving in with her partner.

We’re a sociable house, we all met through Spare Room, and would love to find someone to join our home. We love a good chat in the kitchen over dinner, watching TV (any good recommendations for a house series?). Looking for someone who's up for doing things outside of the house too- come join us at tooting bec lido, brunch, drinks, or tooting market dins.

We like to keep the house clean and tidy and treat it like a home. We're looking for someone who wants something social, homely, and who is likeminded rather than just looking for a place to put their head down.

We’re a queer- friendly and pro-Palestine house so would like allies/ queer people to join us !

Rent is £899 - some bills are included in the cost, as well as shared house essentials (like toilet rolls and cleaning supplies), but we usually have to pay extra for gas and electricity each month. This depends on usage, but tends to be somewhere between £0-15 extra in summer months and £30-£50 extra each in winter.

Deposit is £764 and held in a secure deposit scheme. We’re looking for people to take over the tenancy from 28th September 🗓️

We are looking to do viewings Tuesday 26th- Thurs 28th August so you can see the room and also get a feel for whether you’d like to live with us!
