Room available in large sociable Tooting house

One of our housemates is moving back to Australia, and a double room is becoming available in our end of terrace house in Tooting. The house has been in our friendship group since 2020 and we have a great relationship with the landlords. It’s a brilliant place to live.

To keep the house balanced we’re looking for a girl, someone friendly and sociable who’s up for a laugh. We care more about finding someone who wants to join a home rather than just renting a room. We enjoy the odd house dinner, games nights, or playing tag rugby. There’s also plenty of great pubs, Tooting Market and quiz nights nearby for a drink together now and then. We equally enjoy down time just chilling with films or the Six Nations, and are respectful of each other's privacy.

Housemates: Ciaras (engineering), Shoneeze (animation) and Luke (finance). Everyone does a mix of home and office working. Ciaras and Luke travel a lot for work, so the house never feels crowded.

The room is a furnished double on the first floor. The house has 2 bathrooms, a spare room, cellar, dishwasher, washer, dryer, bike shed and a big sunny garden. On-street parking with a permit (£205/year).

Getting around: 5 mins to Tooting Thameslink (Herne Hill, Peckham, Elephant & Castle, Blackfriars), 12 to Tooting Broadway (Northern Line), and good bus links.

Rent is £922/month (£810/month + around £112 bills). Deposit was previously £935 (5 weeks), this may be lower due to new renters laws. We keep the house tidy, but also have a cleaner round every couple of weeks.

Available from around 1st October (contract starts 5th), move-in fairly flexible.
