Description
This is a bright, spacious, modern top-floor flat in a new building on the edge of the Walthamstow Wetlands, less than five minutes walk from Tottenham Hale Underground. Our current flatmate is sadly moving out and we are looking for someone to take a room. Available from 1st January but we can be flexible with this.
About the flat:
Located in the riverside of the Lea canal in a brand new building (we were the first tenants), with incredible views of the canal and Walthamstow Wetlands & Reservoir.
The area is a calm and relaxed neighbourhood, with a lot of young people in what is effectively a "spill-over" of the Walthamstow community. There is a local wine bar (Table 13) that serves focaccia-like food during the day, the Ferry Boat Inn pub close by and walking distance from the Walthamstow Brewery Mile, amongst other things, including seasonal art galleries and food stores that actually operate out of boats on the river.
4 minutes walk from Tottenham Hale station (Victoria Line, National Rail & Stansted express). The building has a concierge, gym, WiFi included and cycle garage. It takes about 20-25 minutes to get to central London (Oxford Circus), we both make the commute every day and it's fast and pretty reliable.
The flat is duplex, with two rooms down and one up. We have a great kitchen-living room space which catches the sun in the evenings, which also has hands down the best balcony in the borough.
For full transparency, the total rent is 3510. The upstairs room in the duplex is bigger, and so covers a much larger share at 1270. This room has its own en suite bathroom , with a shower - so is 1090. Bills are around £150 a month average throughout the year. Think council tax is band E (mid-range).
About the room:
Genuinely beautiful and bright double room overlooking the canal, full direct sunlight all the afternoon. Central heating (with double-glazed windows, so we don't have to use the heating much), wide mirrored wardrobe, double bed, mattress and two bedside tables (not in pictures).
About us:
You would be living with two professionals. We're friendly, musically inclined and clean.
Santiago (31): Argentinian chef, love food and music. Very outgoing and chatty. I work mostly at nights but I will be always around for a glass of wine at the weekends.
Adam (26): works in law, from north London, great guy
