This is a bright, spacious, modern top-floor apartment in a new building on the edge of the Walthamstow Wetlands, five minutes walk from Tottenham Hale underground and overground. Our current flatmate is sadly moving out and we are looking for someone to take his room. Available from 22/2
About the flat:
Located in the riverside of the Lea canal in a brand new building (we were the first tenants), with incredible views of the canal and Walthamstow Wetlands & Reservoir.
The area is a calm and relaxed neighbourhood, with a lot of young people in what is effectively a "spill-over" of the Walthamstow community. There is a local wine bar (Table 13) that serves focaccia-like food during the day, the Ferry Boat Inn pub close by and walking distance from the Walthamstow Brewery Mile, amongst other things, including seasonal art galleries and food stores that operate out of boats on the river.
5 minutes walk from Tottenham Hale station (Victoria Line, National Rail to Liverpool Street and Stratford, & Stansted express). The building has a concierge, parcel storage, gym, WiFi included and cycle garage. It takes about 20-25 minutes to get to central London (Oxford Circus), we both make the commute every day and it's fast and pretty reliable.
The flat is duplex, with two rooms down and one up. We have a great kitchen-living room space which catches the sun in the evenings, which also has hands down the best balcony in the borough.
For full transparency, the total rent is 3540. The upstairs room in the duplex is bigger, and so covers a much larger share at 1293. Your room has its own bathroom right next to your door (by far the best one in the house). Bills are around £150/210 a month average throughout the year. Think council tax is band E (mid-range).
About the room:
Genuinely beautiful and bright double room overlooking the canal, full direct sunlight all afternoon. Central heating (with double-glazed windows, so we don't have to use the heating much), wide mirrored wardrobe, double bed, mattress and two bedside tables (not in pictures).
About us:
You would be living with two professionals. We're friendly, musically inclined and very clean.
Santiago (33): Argentinian chef, love food and music. Very outgoing and chatty. Into cycling as much as I’m into gaming. I work mostly at nights (big night owl) but I will be always around for a glass of wine during the weekends 🍷
Elliott (28): from Reading, works in social media, very friendly and chill. Equal love for socialising / peaceful eves. Loves a tidy space but isn’t overzealous. Big into rock climbing 💪🏽
