Description
I’m looking for a responsible pair of friends or couple to take up both(!!) available rooms in my 3-bedroom house and take care of the property as if it were their own during the periods that I’m away.
The first bedroom is the spacious master bedroom of the house and measures approx. 16 sqm. It’s located at the front of the house and gets a lot of sunshine in the mornings. It comes with a king size bed and a huge built-in wardrobe (6 doors) providing lots of storage space, and a small desk (which can be removed).
The second room is right next to the master bedroom and faces the garden. It measures approx 8.5 sqm and has a standard double bed, a small dresser and some ladder shelves.
Both rooms are currently furnished as bedrooms, but the smaller could be turned into a workspace if required.
The house is very homely and has a comfortable lounge/dining area. There’s currently a piano too, so bonus points if you can play.
The kitchen is fully equipped, inc. a dishwasher, and the bathroom has a shower, bath and toilet.
There's also a nice little garden with a bunch of plants that need some basic attention, so ideally you have green fingers and enjoy a little bit of gardening.
Note that this a strictly no-smoking property and smoking is also not allowed in the garden.
You’ll be sharing with me, the tenant of the house and your live-in landlord.
I am self employed, can work from anywhere, and will be away frequently.
I moved to London in 2012 and it has been my primary home ever since, although I’ve had long stints abroad, working on the Austrian ski fields for a few winters, and a couple of summers living in a van while exploring the near and far corners of Europe.
In my free time I like going for long walks or the gym to keep fit, can often be found at the cinema/theatre/daytime rave, or will meet up with friends for a drink or dinner. All the usual stuff really.
The rent includes bills (council tax, water, gas and electricity) and broadband internet is available at no extra charge.
The arrangement will be a formal lodger agreement with your deposit being held in a recognised protection scheme.
The master bedroom is available from late September and the other room is available from late August. I’m flexible on the move-in date.
To arrange a viewing please send me a message telling me a little bit about yourselves, your situation and what you’re looking for.
The nearest stations are Tottenham Hale (Victoria Line and train) and Bruce Grove (Weaver). Both are about a 10 minute walk from the house.
From Tottenham Hale it’s quick and easy to get into Central London or to Stratford.
Approximate travel times from Tottenham Hale Station:
• King’s Cross / St Pancras ~13 minutes
• Liverpool Street ~15 minutes
• Oxford Circus ~16 minutes
• Victoria Station ~20 minutes
• Stratford ~10 minutes
• Canary Wharf ~30 minutes
• London City Airport ~35 minutes
• Stansted Airport ~40 minutes
