Description
Decent sized spare room (12sqm) available in my (4 bed) apartment. The room has a double bed, wardrobes, chest of drawers and it’s next to the main bathroom. There's air-con throughout the apartment - although not in the bedroom. Next to main bathroom which you would have sole use of except for occasional guest (the other two bedrooms are en-suite)
On the doorstep of Tower Bridge there is everything you could possibly want. Endless restaurants, pubs, bars, a theatre, Borough Market - all a short walk to the city or easy commute elsewhere. You can be in the departure lounge of Gatwick Airport less than an hour after leaving the flat. 10 minute walk to London Bridge station.
The apartment is around 240sqm - so plenty of space. It has a large kitchen and living room and lots of gadgets and play things like a snooker/pool table and drop down cinema projector for movies etc. we have a terrace for the summer - not huge but very good for morning coffee. All utilities, fast broadband etc are included in the price. At the moment the cleaning lady comes once per month but we can discuss this.
I own the apartment and have lived there for 20 years although am mostly living in NI now with my wife and baby - so hopefully that sets the scene! I am generally in London only 5 days or so per month, sometimes more. I have businesses in London and N Ireland so I travel back and forth.
There is only one full time flatmate at the moment who - English guy in mid 30s so you would mostly be sharing the flat with him. He has an en-suite bathroom and won’t be using the one you do.
The room would most likely suit someone with a professional profile. Someone interesting with a good story to tell. No party people please- those days are over! Someone friendly who thinks a couple of beers, pub grub and some lively discussion constitutes an evening well spent and doesn’t mind the fact that I’m not around that much.
It's not a hotel room - I would much prefer someone who I will eventually describe as a friend.
If you reply, please do give me a bit of info about yourself - who you are, what you do etc and we can take it from there. Cut/paste replies or one liners will be deleted.
A late addition - I’ve got quite a few replies and will only be replying to people who make some sort of an effort to introduce themselves. “Send me a WhatsApp” or “could I arrange a viewing” or “I need to move ASAP” are not messages you will get a response to!!
