My flatmate is moving out at the end of our tenancy and I am looking for someone to rent the second room as I love living here and don’t want to leave! I work in a hospital (no night shifts just occasional oncalls 2/3 nights a month), very much a foodie so Maltby Street Market down the road has been a dream. I enjoy gym classes, walking to work along the Thames and getting abroad whenever I can! Perfect central location on the river for anyone working in London, 15 mins walk to London Bridge station and less than 10 mins walk to Bermondsey tube station.
The contract is all done by the estate agent, and ideally I would like to sign another year (or could do two). ***Please note I have put our current monthly rental cost/deposit however I am getting confirmation from the landlord what the rent will be from 21/11/2025 so this may change (likely increase)! If you wanted to move in sooner this could be an option subject to estate agent references clearing etc as my flatmate has bought a property so currently paying mortgage+rent which I’m sure she’d gladly not do if someone can move in earlier.
The flat itself is unfurnished - however I have provided all the furniture/kitchen stuff already. The second room has a king size bed with mattress, a large fitted wardrobe and a bedside table with direct access to the terrace so has lots of light (current bedside table and unit next to bed is my flatmates so won’t be in the room). It is a converted warehouse flat, so it is huge inside and has lovely brick walls which makes a great feature. I have lots of house plants and plants on the terrace which you are welcome to add to! And obviously if you had any furniture to add I can move the room items to storage. The kitchen has a large fridge and a two shelf freezer, built in microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.
There is a concierge (who is amazing), and bike storage. There is also a car space in the car park - I do currently have my car in it as I drive to work for oncalls but if you wanted to bring a car there is permit parking and I don’t mind splitting the space half the year etc.
Current monthly bills which would be split between us 2 would be:
Council tax £226
Electric £79
Wifi £22
Sky TV £34 (but I can cover this if you don’t need to use it)
Cleaner £30 a fortnight
No water bill as landlord pays via service charge
