Hey future housemate!
We’re Jake James, and David, and with Mick moving out, we’re looking for a friendly, respectful, and clean new housemate to join us in our lovely home. If you think you’d be a great fit, keep reading!
The Location
We’re in an amazing spot just a short walk from Tufnell Park and Archway tube stations (Northern Line) and Upper Holloway and Gospel Oak overground stations. You’ll have easy access to cafes like Normans (only 100 yards away), cozy pubs, shops, and a wide variety of restaurants. Hampstead Heath is within walking distance for a scenic stroll or jog.
The Room
This is a bright and spacious double room on the middle floor of the house. It has two large windows that let in loads of natural light—perfect for plants or just creating a welcoming vibe. The room comes furnished with a double bed, a chest of drawers, a desk, and a huge built-in wardrobe that saves floor space. Whether you’re working from home a few days a week or just need a cozy retreat, this room is ideal.
Rent: £725 per month (bills not included; approx. £105/month for utilities and council tax)
Deposit: £700
Move-in date: End of January 2025
Reference fee: £50
The House
This is a house, not a flat, and it feels like home. It’s a modern townhouse with three floors, a garden, and plenty of space. The house is in a secure gated community, so it’s peaceful and safe.
Ground Floor: A cozy TV snug, a second washroom (3 in total), and a spacious kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is the heart of the house, with a dining table, loads of storage, and French doors leading out to a leafy, private garden—perfect for BBQs or soaking up the sun.
Middle Floor: Two bedrooms (including the available room) and the main bathroom.
Top Floor: Two more bedrooms (one en suite).
We’ve also got an airing cupboard for towels, bed linens, and drying clothes.
The Housemates
We’re three professionals in our late 20s/early 30s:
James works in at a law firm in the city.
Jake works in West End production.
David works in video production for various charities.
We each have our own lives but enjoy hanging out when it works. This is a relaxed, respectful house, not a party spot, but we don’t mind hosting dinner and drinks from time to time.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re hoping to find someone who’s:
Aged 25–35
In full-time work (sorry, no night shifts—they don’t work with our schedules!)
Clean, tidy, and considerate of shared spaces
Friendly and looking to make this house a home, not just a stopover
Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate couples, smokers, or pets.
