We have a spacious double room in a beautiful house in Turnpike Lane.

About the house: 3-bedroom split level. 1 study. 2 living rooms. Very spacious kitchen-dining space at the rear extension (all new, beautiful skylinght and folding doors to the garden). 2 bathrooms. Big garden (with a massive puddling pool in summer).

The house is fully furnished and was renovated fairly recently so the kitchen and bathrooms are sparkling. One of the living rooms has a sofa bed for the occasional guest.

About the room: Very spacious (about 12sqm) located on the second floor. Comes with a double bed and wardrobes.

Rent: £767 + bills.
Bills: About £100 a month includes council tax, gas & elec, super speedy internet, toilet paper and laundry detergent.

The area: Residential but close to all the fun (back when that was a thing). The house is located 10 min walk from Turnpike Lane station (Piccadilly line), close to bus links and a massive park just around the corner.

Entertainment hubs and are nearby and within easy reach. The high street (10 min walk) has lots of supermarkets: Tesco, Sainbury's, Morrisons, Lidl) and high street shops. Lots of places to get nice food too. We have a small Sainbury's just around the corner too.

Alexandra Palace, Stoke Newington, Harringay Ladder & Tottenham all within 20/30 minutes walk (or a 10 min bus ride!)

About us: We are Iara (34 - working in tech AI) and Sofia (31 - journalist), two friends who moved to this home last year looking for a place that would make lockdown and social distancing easier. Our housemate is moving with his partner, so we are looking for someone to take the third room.

Making this a home is, and has always been, our priority. We want like-minded people to enjoy the home with us. We really enjoy hanging out after work, whether that's having dinner together or just chatting in the living room. This year we went for many Sunday walks (rules permitting).

We are also very respectful of everyone's spaces and times, so it's OK if you don't want to walk on Sundays! We chose a house that was purposefully big so as not to have to be on top of each other all the time. So far it has worked wonders and we couldn't wish for a better place to spend lockdown.

When life returns to normal we plan to take it to the pub - there's a lovely local just two minutes walk.

At the moment we both work from home, so spending a lot of time here. Iara has two really friendly indoor cats that are great for boosting your serotonin.
