Description
We’re Steph and Charlie—two northern queer professionals in the charity, social enterprise, and creative sectors. We also share the space with Luna, our 14-year-old peach-coloured cat.
We’re seeking a professional, friendly, tidy, considerate, and independent person -age 30+… with preferences for female / and or LGBT+ to join our household.
Ideally, we’d prefer someone working full-time outside of the house, but we’re open to discussions on this (I currently work from home 3-4 days a week).
The flat has a private garden (your room over looks it, all very green and wild) that is filled with bluebells in spring, a bright and spacious living room, a lovely bathroom with shower and bath and a decent sized kitchen. There’s also a loft available for storage.
The room is a spacious double, unfurnished, and located at the garden end of the flat. It gets great morning sunlight and is so quiet you might forget you’re in London—it’s pretty special.
While we occasionally have dinners together, chat over coffee, or enjoy movie nights, we’re mostly quiet during the week due to work. We both lead independent lives and prefer to keep the party / social outside—home is a place for relaxation.
Turnpike Lane (N22) is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk to the station (Piccadilly Line) and close to Crouch End and Ally Pally (10 minutes by bus or bike). Seven Sisters station is a quick 5-minute bike ride away.
Our interests include solo wild camping, hiking, yoga, running, swimming, photography, travel, volunteering, and plants (obvs ). If you’re into nature, Epping Forest is only a 40-minute bus ride away.
In terms of accessibility, the flat is on the first floor so not suitable for a wheelchair user, unfortunately.
The area has a great creative vibe, with Crawley Road Studios, local cafés, and an excellent pub with live music and quiz nights a stones throw away. Turnpike Lane Underground is a 5-minute walk away. The neighbourhood is creative, yet quiet, friendly, and social—a real rarity in London.
If this sounds like a place you’d like to live, we’d love to hear from you!
