Description

Hello! We're looking for a new housemate to take a spacious downstairs bedroom in our beautiful four-bedroom house.

The room will be available from January 11. It comes furnished with a double bed, small chest of drawers and a bedside table. (You'll need your own rail/wardrobe, desk etc.) It is at the front of the house and gets lots of beautiful light, even in the winter — perfect for houseplants. Features include wooden floors, chandelier-style light fitting, and a (non-working) fireplace!

The house has been renovated fairly recently, and includes a huge kitchen-dining space at the rear extension with lovely folding doors. There are three other bedrooms, a box/storage room, a big upstairs bathroom, and an additional small downstairs toilet.

We are a 10-minute walk from Turnpike Lane Station (Piccadilly Line) on a quiet, residential street. Sainsbury’s is just around the corner. Very close to bus links and a huge park. Wood Green High Road and Harringay Green Lanes are both within walking distance, with supermarkets, restaurants, gyms, a shopping centre and a cinema complex. A short bus ride will take you to Alexandra Palace, Crouch End, Stoke Newington etc.

Your housemates will be:

Me, Rosa, a journalist. I work from home three days a week. In my spare time I like to explore London’s green spaces and bookstores, and go to movies, exhibitions and the theatre. I've lived here for over three years and really love the house and the area.

Holly, a treasury officer in finance. She works mostly from home, with the occasional trip to the office. She enjoys crafting and reading, as well as going to concerts, the theatre and comedy shows.

And Bipasha, who works in the charity sector. She’s WFH 2/3 days a week, and in her free time she enjoys trying occasional workout classes, attending theatre performances and gigs, and going for walks that often end with a sweet treat and coffee.

We're looking for a housemate who lives quite independently but also enjoys sharing a drink after work and wants to occasionally watch a film or cook together. We're eager to make sure this house is a peaceful, tidy and respectful home for everyone. Female professional preferred. LGBTQI+ friendly, no pets and non-smoking please.

Rent: £688 + bills
Council tax (Band D) is currently £41.50/month per person.
**Available from January 11**

If you think you’d be a good fit, please drop us a message with a little about yourself, including age, occupation, and whether you work from home. Looking forward to meeting you!
