Description
Hi! We're looking for a new housemate to take a spacious downstairs bedroom in our beautiful four-bedroom house.
The room is available right away with very flexible move in dates throughout February! It is at the front of the house and gets lots of natural light, even in the winter so is perfect for houseplants. Bed and other furniture are also available with the room.
The house has been renovated fairly recently and the main areas of the house were redecorated in the last couple of months! It has a huge kitchen-dining space at the rear extension with a skylight and lovely folding doors overlooking a very large, very green garden (which is great in summer!). There are three other bedrooms, a small spare room available for guests, a big upstairs bathroom, and an additional small downstairs toilet. We’re also very fortunate to have lots of storage space under the stairs and in the spare room if needed.
We are a 10-minute walk from Turnpike Lane Station (Piccadilly Line) on a quiet, residential street. Sainsbury’s is just around the corner and we have a few Tesco stores nearby and a big Morrisons up at Wood Green as well as lots of local small businesses nearby. The house is very close to bus links and lots of nearby green spaces. Wood Green High Road and Harringay Green Lanes are both within walking distance, with restaurants, gyms, a shopping centre and a cinema complex. A short bus ride will take you to Alexandra Palace, Crouch End, Stoke Newington etc.
Your housemates will be:
Me, Holly, a treasury officer in finance. I work mostly from home, with the occasional trip to the office. I enjoy crafting, gaming & yapping about my latest hyperfixation, as well as going to concerts, the cinema, the theatre and the occasional festival.
Bipasha, who works in the charity sector. She’s mostly in the office but works from home 1 or 2 days a week, and in her free time she enjoys trying the occasional workout class, attending theatre performances and gigs, and going for walks that often end with a sweet treat and coffee.
And Lydia, who is in her 3rd year of her archaeology PhD and in her spare time enjoys reading romance, fantasy and sci-fi books. She is always down to watch a film or tv series together and is happy to explore the cinema, theatre, gigs and places to eat. Around the house, you’re likely to catch her cooking pasta, having a good yap and leaving a trace of pink somewhere!
We're a very friendly household and looking for a housemate who lives quite independently but would also enjoy a movie night or dinner together to unwind after work. We're eager to make sure this house is a peaceful, tidy and respectful home for everyone. Female professionals preferred. LGBTQ+ friendly. No pets and non-smoking please!
Rent: £687.50, bills not included
Council tax (Band D)
Bills currently come to just over £100 per person
**Available right away with flexible move in dates**
If you like the look of us and the house and think you’d be a good fit, please drop us a message with a little about yourself, including age, occupation, and whether you work from home. If you have any questions for us, please don't hesitate to ask. Looking forward to meeting you! :)
