Description
*Can be flexible with move in date*
We are looking for a friendly flatmate to replace me (male, 29) and join my two other flatmates (female, 27 and male, 28) in our lovely top floor flat in-between Haringey and Turnpike Lane.
Things I've loved about living here:
- GREEN SPACE - The flat is 30 seconds from green space, with Downhills Park and the connected Lordship recreation ground on the doorstep. Great for afternoon walks all year round and evening strolls or runs in the summer. Lordship recreation ground also hosts a pretty flat 5km ParkRun every Saturday with a great turnout at the race and in the cafe afterwards.
- LOVELY AND SUPPORTIVE NEIGHBOURS: There are a few flats in the building with a mix of housemates, couples and families; we have a group chat that you would get added to and we all look our for each other and say hello when we see each other. The vibes are very good.
- WARMTH AND LIGHT: The flat benefits from a large south facing top floor window into the living room which lets excellent light into the space. Alongside that, our top floor position means that in the winter we benefit from warmth from the rest of the house below and good insulation in the loft creating a warm and comforting feeling (expect tasteful fairy lights and a Christmas tree at Christmas).
- 25 MIN COMMUTE: I cycle into Old Street and it takes me 20-25 mins on average (record is 17 mins with all green lights :)) along roads with decent cycle path infrastructure. For those travelling by tube, Turnpike Lane station is about a 7 min walk away down a well lit residential street and is well connected to the centre through the Piccadilly line.
- BIKE HANGAR STORAGE: The room also comes with a space in the bike hangar outside for convenient push bike storage (there are notoriously long waiting lists for these in London!)
- FINALLY FLATMATES!: Seb and Ella are my friends from Durham Uni and we've lived together for over 2 years. They are great housemates who enjoy a quiet night in as much as a chat, a laugh and a board game night. We also do a good job of keeping the flat and the communal areas nice and tidy (Seb is a particularly good cleaner).
Fun fact: We have a great population of foxes nearby who enjoy the park and if you watched the recent David Attenborough programme "Wild London", many of the fox scenes were filmed very close by!
Council tax band: C (Haringey)
