Description
Hey potential flatmate!
Just signed the lease and am looking for someone to join me in this goooorgeous apartment to create a cosy, safe, girly, clean, and social apartment that feels like home. 🥹🥰
🏢 ABOUT THE APARTMENT
Modern, newly built in 2024. The tenants I've taken over from were the original/first tenants! It's modern and clean, and aesthetically pleasing 😍😍
2 bed / 2 bath - so you'd have your own (big) bathroom.
Big double room with built in wardrobe! (2x rails and lots of shelves)
Currently unfurnished - fresh canvas to make it how you like! (If you need furnishing I could try to sort)
Spacious living area + balcony. Washing Machine in utility closet. Air filtration in the building! Great views from the 6th floor. (Lift access)
£1250 monthly rent. (I'm new to the property but was told bills max £200 per person each month - not sure on council tax band myself though)
🔍🫵 WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IN A FLATMATE
Before you read further, below are my top priority criteria in my search for a flatmate. Sorry - but if you don't at least meet these in some way, please don't message me, as it won't be a suitable flat for you!
♀️ Female only
💚 Vegetarian or Vegan
I'm vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free. If you're flexitarian/pescatarian I would consider it as long as you don't cook or eat animal flesh inside the flat.
💼 Working Professional, preferably minimum 2 days in the office. (I'm in 2-4 days per week). Some WFH is fine, but not fully remote pls.
💖 Kind, Reasonable & Accountable
💅🧚♀️ Open-minded. sex-positive, LGBTQ+ ally. That's the vibe. Not a place for judgemental, conservative bad juju, we'd be a mismatch, sorry!
🧠 Safe space for neurodiversity.
🧼 Clean.
I'm looking for someone who does their share as default - with no hassles or having to mention it (because no one wants to bring it up or be the only one doing the cleaning right?). Sure sometimes we get busy, but it should be the norm not the exception.
I acknowledge I've always ended up being the more clean flatmate (I find tiktok videos satisfying and inspiring lol), and I'm totally fine with that buuut it has to be said: I appreciate a certain standard of living and equal dynamic/appreciation of that would be fab, so we can get on with things being chill and social.
I've spent the last 2 years with a great flatmate and enjoyed that feeling of home being about the person you live with as much as the building, and would love to find/create that again. (She's moving in with her boyfriend).
Think: relaxed atmosphere, someone to chit chat with (from date debriefs to workday wind-downs), occasional meals together, movie nights, shared friend dinner parties/hosting board game nights... a pseudo sister kinda flatmate where we look out for each other and care about wellbeing - e. g. microwave a heatpack when dying of cramps, pick up lemons and paracetemol when your sick, mutual outfit checks, check you're still alive if you didn't come home etc.
If you're a mix of silly goose, sophisticated, demure young lady, and professional baddie, we'll likely be a great fit. 😂
Not expecting to find someone who hits all the criteria, but if this sounds remotely like you, please message me!
You can also find me in FB groups like Gals Who Rent etc, if you've not got paid Spare Room, you can try finding me there x
MORE INFO ABOUT ME:
I work in marketing at a wellbeing/scenting brand. There will be bath and body freebies to share and can also share my staff discount with you. So no doubt the flat will smell lush with essential oil diffusers and the like.
I speak fluent French and intermediate Spanish. I love yoga and keeping active. I love all sorts of music from jazz and classical, to pop-girly and electronic. I love salsa and swing dancing. I am a little bit addicted to thrifting. I like to read and you'd be welcome to borrow from my collection!
I'm 32, from Australia. I have no family here, so while I have plenty of friends, having a certain homeyness is important to me! After a lovely flatsharing experience has added so much to my life, I've opted for this because I want to have a flatmate to enjoy living with, rather than living on my own.
