Hey! I’m Abby, one of the current housemates. You’d be living with me and the lovely Rory. We’re both 37, friendly, sociable, and we’ve built a really warm, fun atmosphere here. It’s a place people genuinely enjoy being in. I work in live music marketing, Rory’s a freelance creative producer, and we both work a mix of at home/in office/wherever life takes us.
We’re both big into music, gigs and festivals. Enjoy cooking (often with wine involved), pub garden-hopping, travelling and galleries/exhibitions. We’d say we’re good company, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
🏡 About the flat:
It's big, bright, and genuinely lovely, south-facing, so it’s full of sunshine all day. The shared space is open-plan with kitchen/living/dining in one, and there’s a massive private roof terrace with a wild garden that attracts bees and the occasional hungover human. Sunrise and sunset up there are pretty special.
There’s also private underground bike storage, fast WiFi, and all the usual appliances. The available bedroom is unfurnished, so you can make it your own, but the rest of the flat is fully furnished and very much a home.
I’ve been in the building a long time (7 years), and it honestly is one of the best flats in the area, great layout, great location, great neighbours. Everyone who visits ends up saying how much they love it, which we like to pretend is mostly down to our personalities.
👀 Who we’re looking for:
All genders and sexual orientations are very welcome. Bonus points if you're not allergic to dogs; we occasionally dog-sit for pals.
Preferably someone in their mid to late 30s who’s friendly, respectful, and looking for a proper home rather than just a place to crash. Ideally, you're sociable and up for the odd house dinner, trip to The Crooked Billet, or joining in our (occasional but lovely) flat parties, think Halloween, summer, etc. By no means a party flat, but we’re not hermits either.
Clean and considerate is key, someone who takes pride in their space, tidies up after themselves, and doesn’t mysteriously become invisible when the bins need taking out. We’re big on balance; we all muck in to keep the place running smoothly, so no one’s stuck being the designated adult.
📝 The boring (but important) bit:
Our agent will need to reference you and run a right-to-rent check, and you’ll need to provide ID etc. The contract officially starts on 1st June.
If you’ve made it this far, fair play!
If this sounds like your kind of home and you reckon you'd be a good fit, drop us a message with a bit about yourself, what you’re into, how you like to live, and what kind of housemate you are. Feel free to include your Instagram if that gives a better sense of you (mine’s available too)
We'll be doing viewings after the bank holiday, and due to demand, we might not be able to reply to everyone, so please make your message stand out. The more we get a sense of you, the better.
Looking forward to meeting you.
