A double room in our home on a leafy street near Forest Hill and Sydenham High Street is becoming available in April as our long-term tenant is moving abroad. The room would be ideal for a student or a professional looking for a home in a calm neighbourhood with great transport links to central London.

The first-floor fully furnished room comes with a comfortable double bed, a writing desk, a small cupboard and a hanging rail for clothes. You would be sharing the recently refreshed shower room (it has a lovely rainfall shower) and the fully equipped kitchen with us. We also have a garden at the back of the property that you can use.

You would be living with a friendly, clean and respectful gay couple (35 and 37) and one other flatmate (28).

Ideally, we are looking for someone who works from home a maximum of one day a week. A couple of co-working spaces/cafes have opened in the neighbourhood recently.

The nearest station is Sydenham (8 min walk away) with regular Overground trains connecting to the Underground at Canada Water. It is about 35 minutes to Waterloo and 40 minutes to Bond Street from our front door. On-street parking is also available in front of the house. There is also bus 176 that stops practically outside the house and goes all the way to Tottenham Court Road 24/7.

We have plenty of nice cafes and restaurants just around the corner. Also, East Dulwich and Peckham are just a short bus ride away. We are also spoiled for choice with some of London's most beautiful parks: Wells Park, Mayow Park, Crystal Palace Park and Horniman Gardens are within a 10/15 min walk.

The rent includes all the bills.
