Description
I am looking for a lodger for my 3 bed mid-terrace home in Upper Walthamstow until the end of the year, with the possibility to extend into the first quarter of next year.
I will be frequently away for work travel for the remainder of this year, and so I would also like someone who would be around, able and willing to feed my two cats - two adorable and gentle four year old brothers - also meaning you would often have the house to yourself, including use of the home office.
About the house
There is a lot of living space - a large living/dining room, an extended kitchen, and a semi converted top floor with a sofa / reading nook and space for laundry. There is also a large garden. I'm out and about a lot when I am here, but happy to share meals and chats when I'm home, as well as having separate space too. My hobbies are hula hooping in the garden, writing (poetry), singing (I'm in a choir) , chilling out with friends and going dancing, among other things.
The room has a double bed, bedside table, large wardrobe with drawers, and bureau that folds down into a desk, with an office chair. All bills including broadband included.
About the area
It's a really lovely, quiet part of Walthamstow. A 15 min walk (or 3 min bus ride!) to Wood Street or Highams Park overground (weaver line to Liverpool St) , or a short (10 min bus/5 min cycle/ 25 min walk) to Walthamstow Central.
There are a couple of great cafes and corner shops within a couple of minutes walk, great brunch places, pubs and restaurants within a 15 min walk in the Wood St area, and a big supermarket also 15 min walk or 5 min bus ride away. Walthamstow Central has a cinema, shopping mall, theatre....everything.
Key info
I need someone who could move in by the 8th of September - for cat related reasons! As a gay woman I'd prefer a lodger who was either female (straight/gay/bi/trans and non-binary inclusive) or a gay man.
