Description
We are looking for someone to join our lovely flat in Victoria in July (exact move-in date can be somewhat flexible).
The room: It's a good-sized double with a king-sized bed, large built-in wardrobe, and a chest of drawers included.
The flat: It’s pretty big and split over two floors. It's in good nick and we have recently had a new kitchen and bathroom fitted. There is a separate kitchen with a table, a large living room with TV + dining table, and a balcony which gets the sun all day long. Upstairs we have 3 bedrooms, one toilet and one bathroom (they are separate which can come in handy!). I’ve been living in the flat for 4 years now and absolutely love it. We have just renewed the tenancy so the rent is set until August 2025. The price listed includes all bills. Parking is available out front... permit is around £150 a year.
The location: It's a very dreamy location. We are a 10 min walk (max) from Victoria mainline and tube, and it's about the same to Sloane Square and Pimlico stations. It's around a 40 min walk to Soho, Battersea Park is just 10 mins across the bridge, and Hyde Park is a 15-20 min walk. You can get a bus to pretty much anywhere central. We are also 5 mins from Warwick Way which has a great assortment of pubs, cafes, shops, a little lunchtime market and a big Sainsburys.
Flatmates: You'll be sharing with 1 couple: Polly - 32 and Ed 31. I work in Media and Ed is in Art. We are mostly WFH which means the living room is occupied during the day. In terms of interests, I’m big on travel, fitness, and singing (in a choir) whilst Ed enjoys a bit of 5-a-side, going to the cinema and has extensive knowledge of nearby Deliveroo options. We like the flat to be kept pretty clean and tidy and although we have friends round from time to time, it’s definitely not a party house.
You: We are keen to find someone who is up for the odd drink / shared meal / film night (we have a projector) but who also has their own social life and can respect that we all need space sometimes. Our preference would be a female in their late 20s / 30s. Given there are already two of us who WFH and desk space is limited, it would probably best if you are someone who is office / out-of-home based most of the week. We are absolutely an LGBTQ+ friendly flat. Good pub quiz knowledge is a bonus!
Drop us a note with a little about yourself if you're interested - we would love to hear from you!
