Beautiful loft room with en-suite for a single

The loft is a light ,spacious room with a double bed, a large table and wardrobes with plenty of storage. It has a small en-suite with toilet, basin and shower.

The kitchen is newly refurbished and tends to be the sociable space in the house. We are informal and tend to eat our meals at different times but are happy to chat if you want to. The garden is a lovely space to relax and eat out in the sunshine.

We have three lodgers currently, a young professional, a NHS worker and a teacher. We also have 3 outdoor cats who like to come into the kitchen to say hello. We have a cleaner who comes every fortnight to clean the common areas so you are just responsible for cleaning your room. I’m afraid we can’t offer any storage for bikes here , but there is a cheap bike hanger nearby and plenty of secure cycle storage at Walthamstow Central station.

Our loft room is in a 1901 terraced house in a residential street, close to shops, Tescos and transport links. It is a 7 minute walk to Walthamstow Central and 2 minutes walk to the Bell pub, William Morris Gallery and cool cafes.

Walthamstow is a great area to live in with lots to do. There are lots of trendy cafes and restaurants and a great market with street food at the weekends. The leisure centre is a 6 minute walk and there are several gyms nearby. There is a vibrant music and cinema scene here and the new Soho Theatre will be opening soon. There are lots of parks and green spaces and we have easy access to Epping Forest. Walthamstow Central is 20 minutes to Oxford Circus on the fast and reliable Victoria Line, which runs 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

We are a friendly couple who have just turned 61 but are very much young at heart! We love meeting new people of different nationalities. We have been hosting lodgers for 6 years and before Covid we used to rent out rooms on Airbnb and I was a SuperHost with 38 5* reviews.

We are looking for a quiet female non-smoker to complete our happy and relaxed household, preferably someone who likes cats and does not work from home or works from home no more than 2 days a week.
