Description
Hello! We're Bekah and Charlie and we're looking for a new flatmate as our current one is realising a lifelong dream of moving to the seaside.
We're looking for someone who likes a chat and a glass of wine, and isn’t averse to having cookies baked for them (Bekah loves to cook so someone who likes to eat would be ideal!) Bekah works managing a team for a national health charity and Charlie is a sixth form teacher so we'd love someone who would be happy to unwind with a chat in the living room at the end of a busy day, but equally, we're respectful of your space as we know the importance of time to yourself to decompress.
The flat has a shared bathroom, open plan kitchen and a bright living room with a south-facing balcony which gets the sunlight all day long, perfect for plants! We've currently got chillies and tomatoes on the go, but there's plenty of space for more greenery if you're a plant parent! The room is a nice bright double and comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe, and desk, so perfect for working from home/hybrid working but with space for you to bring a couple of bits and pieces of your own if you'd like.
We’re close to Wood Street which has plenty of quirky independent shops and cafes (with possibly the best bakery in town although there are plenty to choose from). It's easy to get to Central London (20 mins to Liverpool St from Wood St) but also within walking distance of Epping Forest and Lloyd Park for a bit of green relief.
We have a small, very affectionate dog called Milo. He loves to play but can be a bit nervous of new people, however with lots of treats and a bit of patience he'll be your best friend! Ideally we'd like to live with someone who also loves dogs and is up for hanging out with him on Bekah's office days. He doesn't need much and will repay you for a walk with lots of wet-nosed cuddles! We both work full time so don't get up to anything outrageous during the week but are definitely up for a drink on a weekend/sunny Bank Holiday.
LGBTQIA friendly - trans, non binary or non gender conforming people welcome :)
