THE ROOM
There is a double bed with storage room beneath, a bedside table and a lamp, 3 shelves and a wardrobe. There is room for desk/chair and bookshelves. The bookcase in the room belong to the current housemate, but there are some extra furniture available, in case.
THE HOUSE
It's a 2bedflat on the ground floor with a garden and a bathroom. Kitchen is equipped with oven, microwave and plenty of storage room. There is a washing machine and a dryer machine. The garden is sunny until late afternoon in summer :)
LOCATION
The house is less than 10 min walk from Walthamstow central (victoria line, which crosses the most useful tube lines) and Overground Walthamstow Central and Queen's road.
With the bus 123 you can get in 5 Min to Tottenham Hale to catch the Stansted express. With the bus 97 you can get in 20 min to Stratford station. Epping forest is all around us, but the most beautiful green area to enjoy is the Lea riverside walk and the marshes. Morris Museum and Lloyd park at less than 5 Min walk. Feel good centre gym literally behind the house.
There is a Tesco express around the corner and a big LIDL at 10 min walk. The longest market of London is open every day on the high street, always 10 min walk from home. It's convenient, joyful and colourful. On Saturday there is the farmers market.
Chingford road is packed with restaurants and take aways, there is no way to run out of food and drinks!
YOU
For the landlords it's ESSENTIAL that the tenants can provide settled status (if European) and job reference in a FULL-TIME job position. They also ask for bank statements and previous landlord's reference. They are nice, always available and friendly. They will renew the contract with your name on it, therefore require all the guarantees.
HOUSEMATE
You'll be sharing this lovely space with me Italian and classics teacher. I teach mainly online with classes in the morning and in the evening (finishing at 8 pm at the latest). I've been living in housesharing for nearly 15 years between Rome, Berlin, Newcastle and Brighton. Since my job became fully remote, I try to travel working from abroad now and then. When in London I love enjoying London cultural life. I like sharing Italian delicacy I bring from Italy and I love trying food from everywhere. I have my network and you are free to join if/when you like the community :)
The household is LGBTQ+ friendly, or, as I prefer to say, it's hetero friendly :)
I can speak a bit of German, French and a bit of Greek.
Of course, English housemates are welcome too!
My current housemate is moving in with his partner starting a new family, so he leaves the household to start a big new adventure.
It also means that the house brings good luck!
