Hey! My name is Eli (pronounced Ellie) and I’m looking for a new housemate to move in to a clean and quiet flat in Walthamstow.
I work from home around 3 days/week. I enjoy going out on the weekends, but like to keep my home calm and peaceful. Although I tend to spend my weeknights in, I'm usually out on the weekends, for brunch or a walk (or both). I am respectful of other people's space, I'm up for a gin or glass (or bottle, really) of orange wine, but I'm equally content with a quiet night. It's not a party flat and I don't tend to have people over as I like to keep my home peaceful and private (I'd rather invite them to Crate just next to the flat ;) ). I'm super clean and tidy (like really clean!), so I'm looking for someone who likes living in a clean place and takes pride in their home.
The flat:
•Located on the sixth floor (of a 7-floor building) with great natural light.
•The room is a large double, with plenty of space for a desk and a cupboard, is carpeted and is not technically an en-suite, but you would be the only one using the main bathroom as I have an ensuite
• The room comes unfurnished
•The flat came unfurnished so all the furniture belongs to me (please be nice with it ;))
•The kitchen is a generous size, with a dishwasher and a separate small laundry room for the washer-dryer (and enough space for the clothes rack so it's never in the way!)
•The building has a shared bike storage and a concierge desk open 6 days a week (very handy for receiving parcels!)
• There is a cleaner who comes in every 2 weeks
The building is a 5 min walk from St. James Street overground station (direct line to Liverpool Street) and is a 10-15 min walk from either Walthamstow Central or Blackhorse Road stations, where you can jump on the Victoria Line (which, arguably is the best line). If you like nature, we are also a 15 min walk from the Walthamstow Wetlands. If you like coffee, there are great options within a couple mins walk, including Crate, just around the corner. If you like baked goods, we also have a vegan bakery on the ground floor of the building.
The flat is managed by an agency, so you will need to pass referencing for this tenancy.
