Double loft room in homey Walthamstow House

Our housemate is moving out so an absolute steal of a room is available! It’s cheap because it’s a loft room that’s accessible by ladder only. But it’s a sturdy ladder and once you’re up there it’s a secret haven! (Ladder picture incoming)

We are looking for a respectful and easy to communicate with housemate to live with us in our queer friendly house share (ideally 28 - 39 years old). We'd also love it if you had some similar interests and are someone we could spend time with. We have our own independent schedules but enjoy prepping meals and eating together occasionally, inviting friends over from time to time and watching some TV. We are fun and look out for each other but we’re not a party house. We also like to keep the house clean and tidy so looking for someone who has good cleaning habits too :)

About us! We all have an arts and creative background, two of us now working in education.

-- Jess, 34, northern, bibliophile and English teacher. Detests being summarised in one sentence.
-- Caspar (he/him), 36, queer Finnish/German, media maker and youth worker. Interests are cycling, fashion, TV shows, music, arts and social justice
— Warren, 31, (He/Him), queer French. Optician and Actor. Interest are cinema, fashion, ballroom scene and travelling. (Just won his first award for his lead role !!)

Bills aren't included but normally come to around £140 max per month during the summer (including bi-weekly cleaner) and last winter’s monthly bills were ~£200 per month

We have a well-equipped kitchen and homey living room. We have two bathrooms and a massive garden/terrace. The room is unfurnished but potential to buy the bed. There is also lots of space to keep bicycles outside in the garden

We cannot accept couples at this time and sadly no pets are allowed, sorry!

The house is a 5 minute walk from Walthamstow Queens Road Overground station and a 10 minute walk from Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line & Overground trains to Liverpool Street via Hackney). Walthamstow market with Sainsbury‘s, Lidl, tkmaxx, ASDA and a shopping mall are all ~15 minute walk. We’re also not far from Walthamstow Village and the lush Walthamstow marshes are a 25 minute walk/15 min cycle

You would be replacing our housemate on the lease, so ideally you would want to stay for some time and are looking for a home. Please note this is not a room by room letting contact, meaning you would be on the lease for the whole property with us.

Rent is paid each month on the 19th and we’re looking to fill the room asap with some flexibility :)
