Description
Professional couple (and cat) seek lodger to join them in their Victorian terraced house. This would be a lodger agreement over a house share, with an initial let of 3-12 months. We are open to reviewing and extending if it works for both parties. It would be perfect for a stop-gap, maybe someone who is in-between things or in the house-buying process.
When we’re not here, you’ll be able to make the most of the house and garden. When we are here, it’s our home and so the living room and dining space aren’t shared as such, but the kitchen and the garden are for all.
The en-suite bedroom is bright and spacious, with brand new wood flooring. It’s situated on the top floor of the house, which you'd have to yourself. It’s the quietest part of the house with a skylight and large, double-glazed windows facing the back of the house.
There’s ample room (roughly 6.5m x 3.5m space) for a couch/living space in the bedroom, with a shower/sink/toilet en-suite. Currently no fitted storage, but an inlet for hanging clothes and plenty of room for furniture.
We’re advertising as unfurnished, but we can organise a bed if you prefer. The best spot for a bed is on the slanted roof side, so a lower framed bed is ideal.
We’re really central and well connected - just off the market, with a great local pub. In terms of travel, it’s a 5-10 minute walk to each of Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line), St James Street (Overground) and Walthamstow Queen’s Road (Overground).
We’re not looking for someone with pets (though still worth enquiring on that), but we are looking for someone that is happy living with (and sometimes looking after) our cat, Pecorino. She’s an affectionate and relaxed pet who loves people.
We’re both social and active with a close knit group of friends. We’re out and about a fair bit, but we love our home and have a pretty quiet and chilled existence here.
