What we're looking for:
Hello! We are two friendly queers looking for a third queer/queer friendly person to join our spacious house in Walthamstow. We live with an energetic and warm Doberman (Jackson). New tenants must be very comfortable around large dogs. If you love dogs and enjoy playing with Jackson, even better.
The house:
The house is a large 2 story Victorian house in a family friendly environment. There are two bathrooms (one with shower/bath), one kitchen, living room, dining room AND an office (which we're happy to share!). We both wfh - one of us works 3 days in the house, the other is changeable but works in their room. We also have a little patio garden out the back, where we're (trying) to start our gardening journey - so people with green fingers welcome.
The area:
We're not far from Walthamstow marshes, Leyton Ponds and Epping Forest.
The house is a 10 minute walk from Walthamstow Central and Walthamstow Queen's Road Station with Victoria line and Overground services running into central London (King's Cross - 30 mins). Just a short walk from 17&Central shopping mall and Walthamstow Village. One of the most charming and oldest villages in London (the original settlement dates back to 1086), Walthamstow Village is renowned for its local produce shops and historic buildings.
Who we are:
We're sociable, like to cook together and hang out (anything from Dalston superstore to the garden centre to a movie night). We'd love someone who wants these things too!
Ellie (they/them) AFAB. Senior Paralegal (I'm not boring I promise). Work from home 2/3 days a week, social butterfly and generally always out and about, galivanting, going to gigs, sports events, seeing mates. Partial to someone social who also doesn't mind doing their own thing.
Lauren (she/her) - 32, medical researcher, Irish.
"Hi there, I'm a brain nerd academic at UCL working on Huntington's Disease. My happy place is going on beautiful walks with my main man Jackson, who has fuelled my passion for a dog training side Hussle. I love good food, wine, yoga, good company to go from deep emotional chats to the silliest of giggle fits, and a bit of time to play my current obsession game on the switch.
Come join the fam!"
***Photos of the Kitchen and bathroom are from before we moved in. We have a fridge, an island and lots of cooking spices/herbs to share :) ****
