Description
Hello!
I’m looking for a flatmate to share a stunning, large, fully furnished two-bedroom flat (100 sqm) in Walthamstow Village, one of London’s most charming and sought-after neighbourhoods with a strong sense of community.
My current flatmate is moving out to live with her partner and is offering to sell most of the bedroom furniture if needed, though the room can also come unfurnished.
The flat is on a safe, quiet and leafy residential area, just steps from the pedestrian street famous for its independent shops, cafes, and pubs. It’s also a 5-minute walk to Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line & Overground) and 10 minutes to Walthamstow Queens Road (Overground), with excellent bus links to North-East and Central London, plus access to the new Superloop service too. Rent is £1,070 per month, inclusive of all bills, and the flat will be available from 12th January 2025 (move-in date can be flexible). References and one-month deposit are required.
The flat features a smaller bedroom and this huge, bright double bedroom available (20 sqm) with built-in wardrobes, an open-plan living room and kitchen filled with natural light, and a modern bathroom with great water pressure. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, and counter seating. Secure storage for bikes is also available.
Walthamstow Village is my favourite area in London, an absolute gem offering a perfect balance of peace and vibrancy. The area is rich in history and character, with plenty of green spaces like Walthamstow Wetlands, Epping Forest, Lloyd Park, and Hollow Ponds nearby. The Village is home to a variety of independent cafes, pubs, and restaurants, including favourites like Eat17, The Queen’s Arms and The Castle pubs. Supermarkets, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Lidl, are just a short walk away, as is the newly reopened Forest Cinema on the longest high street in Europe. Walthamstow boasts impressive cultural credentials, with a vibrant and ever-expanding creative scene. It was the first to be named London’s Borough of Culture in 2019 and is home to the renowned William Morris Gallery, alongside a host of dynamic community events.
I’m an architectural designer running my own business. Originally from Italy, I’ve been in London for 15 years and am in my early 40s. I’m clean, tidy, considerate and love a peaceful home life, which I see as a sanctuary from the city’s hustle. I enjoy outdoor activities, yoga, swimming and exploring museums, exhibitions, as well as the local area’s cultural and foodie offerings.
I’m looking for a respectful, clean and tidy flatmate in their late 30s or 40s who mostly works onsite and values a calm and comfortable home. No smokers, no couples and no pets, sorry.
If this sounds like your kind of place, I’d love to hear from you!
Please tell me a little about yourself, and we can arrange a viewing soon. Thank you!
