Description
Hello! I'm Maddy and I'm looking for someone to move into the second bedroom in my flat. The move in date is flexible within January '25.
THE ROOM:
Is a really good-sized bright double (12m squared) with loads of storage, including a built in wardrobe. It's furnished with a bed and chest of drawers.
You have pretty much sole use of the main bathroom too, which is next door and has even more storage in it (as well as the washing machine!)
THE FLAT:
Is a really spacious and well looked after first floor flat in a terraced house. There's a kitchen/dining room (with dishwasher), a cosy living room and a separate study - so if you work from home you don't need to use your bedroom.
The second bedroom is upstairs and has an ensuite so both people in the flat have their privacy.
There's a garden to the back and a balcony too - it gets lots of sunshine in the summer!
THE AREA:
Is amazing, with loads of shops and amenities 5 mins walk away on Walthamstow High Street. There's some amazing wine bars, breweries cafes and restaurants all in walking distance - we're right in the middle of Blackhorse Road and Walthamstow Central. Green space nearby with Lloyd Park, St James' and of course the Wetlands.
There's good transport connections with the Victoria Line (20 mins to Oxford Circus) and two different Overground Lines from St James (25 mins to Liverpool Street) or Blackhorse Road (25 mins to Hampstead Heath)
ABOUT ME:
I'm really friendly and pretty relaxed and open minded. I love to cook and eat, am trying to learn french and enjoy the odd big night out. Although now I'm training for a half marathon (over winter, like an idiot).
I work in HR for an eco-friendly company - so try to do my best for the environment! I work from home most of the time and have a pretty busy social life but I would love to live with someone who I could be friends with and enjoy chilling at home in front of the TV or going out for a few drinks with... and that you feel like this is your home too!
SMALL PRINT:
Bills are about £120 a month but do vary between winter/summer. Council tax band is B.
I recently got a kitten (called Rigatoni) so any flatmate would need to be happy to share a space with her.
Last thing - the access into the flat is up quite a steep flight of stairs, so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. If you have questions, I'm happy to give more info.
