Description
Hey everyone,
We’re looking for a chill, friendly housemate to join our cosy three-bedroom home, short or long term, we’re open to both for the right person.
The house is on a quiet street surrounded by lots of green, with both a front and back garden. It has a big kitchen with all the useful bits, including a dishwasher, and a bright living room full of plants that opens directly to the garden. Outside, there’s a dinner table, a sofa, a barbecue and firepit, it’s where we love having breakfast on sunny mornings or hanging out on summer evenings.
You’ll be sharing the house with me, Kate — I’m a plant lover, with a motorcycle and just started interested in Kung-fu as well :) Duygu is a freelance artist working as a photographer and art therapist with kids. She’s interested in psychology film and mythology. We both have quite full lives, so we really value a calm home. We’re easygoing, like our own space, but also enjoy spending time together now and then. We enjoy the occasional movie night or board game evening, we’re both sci-fi lovers and the house has plenty of games. Also, we both love to cook, mostly plant-based but not strict about it.
The house is in a great location, just near an entrance to Walthamstow Wetlands and about 10 minutes walking distance to Blackhorse Road underground, 20 minutes to St James Street overground, also there’s a bus stop right outside. If you’re a cyclist, its a very cycle friend area, and you can safely leave your bike in the garden.
The area is full of life, there’s a string of breweries on Blackhorse Road, plenty of green spaces , and lots of creative spots nearby like art workshops studios, and a lovely local theatre and cinema (only £5 on Mondays, such a bargain :).
Bills are around £160 per month (included in the total rent), covering gas, electric, water, council tax, a cleaner and Virgin fibre broadband. They’re on fixed rates but might slightly change over time.
We’re looking for someone with a similar vibe; chill, clean and respectful. We have a cleaner every two weeks, but we also like to keep the house tidy because it feels like home to us. Since we both work from home part of the week, we’d prefer someone who doesn’t work remotely full-time, just to keep the space feeling relaxed for everyone. The house has a nice balance between calm and connection, and we’d love to keep it that way.
If this sounds like your kind of place, feel free to drop us a message. We’ll try our best to arrange a viewing as much as we can, though apologies in advance if we can’t get back to everyone due to our busy schedules. Can’t wait to hear from you!
