Queer flat in Walthamstow

Hi!

My flat flatmate is leaving London and I’m looking for a new flatmate as of 22nd march. The flat is located near Wood Street (Walthamstow) and will be shared with me.

The available room is a big double bedroom with 2 walk-in closets. It gets great afternoon sunlight and is big enough for a WFH set up. The desk, bookshelf and chest of drawers are up for grab if you need it (price to be confirmed by the former flatmate).

The flat has a well-equipped kitchen and shared living room with really nice afternoon light as well. I’m super open to redecorate the living room to make it more cozy so we can both feel at home and enjoy to spending time in there. I think it’s always better when the flatmates’ personalities show in the shared spaces!

The flat is very well located:
- 3 minutes walk to wood street with plenty of cafes, cute shops and Wood Street indoor market
- 4 minutes walk to Wood Street station
- 10min from Walthamstow village
- 15 minutes from Walthamstow central

I’m looking for a queer flatmate around my age (25-31 ish). Bonus point if you’re an artist or work in a creative industry but that’s not a dealbreaker!

You will be sharing the flat with me, Melissa (she/they) 26yo, originally from Martinique, but living in London for a while now. I work full-time as a translator and content writer (mix of WFH and office) and DJ part-time. In my free time, I practice aerial hoop and dance, and I enjoy doing anything artistic and crafty.

I enjoy a social house and spending time with my flatmates (whether to share meals/a cute movie night/hit the club once in a while). I sometimes have friends visiting london and staying over for a few days, so I’d like to live with someone who’s ok with that.

I speak French and Spanish fluently and can communicate in any of these languages if easier.

- Price: £930 + bills (around £140-150 per person per month)

- Tenancy: 1 year lease with 4-months break clause. Subject to changes once the new Renter’s Act come into effect in May
