Description
We're looking for a professional to join us in our house in Walthamstow!
The room is a small double with lots of natural light in the afternoon and evening - south facing onto the garden - and comes part-furnished with a double bed, mattress and wardrobe. The room doesn’t come with a desk but does fit one.
£726 pcm, bills not included (bills are approximately £120 pcm). The property is Council Tax Band C. When the lease renews in May, rent may increase slightly - last year it went up around £50 each. The room is available from Sunday 24th May 2026 and rent starts from that date, though you're welcome to move in later if that suits you, as long as rent starts from the 24th.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (both with toilets and showers), a kitchen, living room and garden. We're on a quiet street - 15 minutes walk from Walthamstow Central, 5 minutes from Lloyd Park and close to Wood Street, Walthamstow Village and a handful of good local breweries.
We keep the living room as a shared social space rather than a workspace, so we'd ask that stays desk-free.
You will be sharing with Hussain and Tash, both mid-thirties professionals working in the arts and marketing. Hussain enjoys photography and gardening. Tash enjoys pilates, watching films and exploring what's on in London.
We are quiet housemates who like to chat and watch TV together, have occasional dinners and invite friends over for BBQs in our garden in the summer. Hussain has lived here nearly 3 years and Tash for 18 months. Our housemate is moving out to get their own place. We both work from home quite a bit, so to keep the house from feeling like a crowded office, we are specifically looking for a flatmate who works out of the house for a minimum of 3 days per week (Monday-Friday).
We have a good relationship with our landlord and management agency. The new housemate would sign a new lease with us.
No smoking, no couples and no pets, though we do love animals. We're a welcoming household and would love to hear from anyone who feels like they'd be a good fit - all identities are welcome. Just so you know, we do cook and eat meat and fish at home.
We'd love to hear from you - message us with a bit about yourself, what you're looking for in a houseshare and what you get up to outside of work.
People with a TV, please come to the front of the queue ;)
