Double room in Walthamstow for shorter lets

Hello,

I'm Victoria. I'm looking for a flat mate on a short term basis for a double room in Walthamstow, close to Lloyd Park.

The room
It's a double, with a standard double bed, a brand new mattress, a rail style wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. There's space for a desk too.

I've very recently decorated it so I'm hoping it's to a good standard, though I acknowledge the pink door won't be to everyone's taste.

It's in the middle of the flat, so noise from the road is limited.

The flat
It's a two-bed Warner flat, which are common in this part of Walthamstow - recognisable by their two front doors. I have upstairs neighbours (they're lovely) and we have our own sections of the garden.

These flats are around 100 years old, so they can be chilly and noise does travel. It does have double glazing, however and is EPC C. They also don't have that much storage, though there is a little - and a shed in the garden.

I bought it just under a year ago and while I've done some decorating already, there is still a lot I want to do - nothing disruptive though.

The area
I'm less than a ten-minute walk from Lloyd Park, and the Dog and Duck Pub is just over the road. Walthamstow Central is about a 25 min walk away, or there are four regular buses that get there in around ten minutes. I'm close to the marshes, the Wetlands and Epping Forest is about 30 mins away by bike.

About me
I'm 43, I work in affordable housing, and I have an active social life though I love being at home too. I like all the typical things - gigs, going to the gym, spending time with my boyfriend, friends and family, and doing DIY. My politics are left of centre.

Living with me
I like my home to be a quiet space where I can relax and spend down time. I'd prefer to live with someone who feels similarly.

I work from home a couple of days a week and have every other Friday off work.

About you
I don't have preferences around age or gender, but it would be nice to find a flatmate I could get on with. Hopefully you feel the same.

Important stuff
The rent is £800 a month and includes bills. I tend not to have the heating on all day in the winter and reserve it for evenings, but I'd be happy to agree a different approach if you were absolutely freezing. The deposit is one month's rent.

It's available from Sunday 16 October.
