Unfurnished double room for short term let in our cute E17 maisonette flatshare (2 months, 01 October - 29 November)

Hi Friends,

We have a lovely double room for sublet going in our little queer home in Walthamstow.

Rent is £200 per week (£800 per month) and bills come to approx £120 per month.

Details below:

The room: Lovely double room with large bay window on the first floor of the building. West facing with sunset views and stunning selfie lighting. A bright shared bathroom with a lovely bathtub is nearby the room (see floorplan).

The furnishings: The room comes unfurnished or can come part-furnished if you need a clothing rail, wardrobe, desk, bedside table or bookcase - please note that there will not be a bed or mattress as the current tenant owns theirs and will take it with them. The bed pictured is a king-size bed but is for scale reference only. That being said, let us know your situation if this is a dealbreaker and we may be able to help problem-solve.

The house: Features a kitchen, large living/dining area and two bathrooms in total. 5 min walk from Walthamstow central station on a super quiet street. Flat is homely and has a lived-in, cosy vibe. Internet is good for remote working and runs well throughout the house.

The vibes: You’ll be living with two queer flatmates in their early 30s. Pavlos works in a charity and Kearney is a barber, both working full time and Pavlos works from home (mostly). We’re keen to share the space with friendly people. Absolutely no time for tories, transphobes or idiots.

The terms: The room is available unfurnished (or part furnished as explained above) from the start of October to the end of our rental contract with the landlord, which is 29 November. If you end up loving the room, it may be possible to negotiate with the landlord to remain on in the flat and take on the contract - but we can discuss that later and enquire about that with the landlord!

Important info:

Accessibility: The room is on the first floor of our cute two storey maisonette. There is one flight of stairs to get to the room. There are two bathrooms, one on each floor. The house uses a doorbell and there is no video/phone entry system.

Tenancy Type: There’s no contract/referencing, just renting on a sublet basis. Our contract ends on 29 November. Benefits not an issue. Council tax band C.
